Arlene Tyler – Rawene Centre General Manager

Arlene is responsible for the day to day operation of Rawene Community Centre. With a strong business background, years of management experience, and a true passion for people and events, Rawene’s future remains in sound hands.

Since 2002, when Arlene became the centre manager, Rawene has experienced huge growth in many areas. One key event, Christmas Wonderland saw over 20,000 visitors during its 6 day period, and has become a signature event for the North Shore. Arlene is married to Roger, they have a daughter and live in Birkenhead.

Marilyn van Dam – ESOL Coordinator

Marilyn is responsible for the running of our ESOL programmes. She loves her role helping refugees and migrants to develop their English and social skills, and helping them to adjust and become part of our community.

Marilyn leads a strong team of highly qualified ESOL teachers and volunteers.

Christine Fraser – Reception & Administration

Christine welcomes the many visitors to the Centre, Monday to Thursday mornings. She looks after the daily accounts and bookings for the many and varied activities here at Rawene.

Christine is married to Neil, with 3 children.

Bryan Wilde – Caretaker

Brian is the backbone of the Centre, keeping a very large building clean and tidy on a daily basis.
