A strong focus at Rawene is our passion for assisting migrants and refugees.
We hold daily classes Mon–Thur at a range of different levels, and our ESOL programmes extend far beyond teaching pupils to speak English.
Teachers and the team of volunteers that run this programme share a common vision for the students and their families – and focus on their well-being in all areas of life.
Shared lunches, events, and integration into community projects help to ensure they have a secure and reliable ‘home base’ at Rawene Centre.
Advice on settlement issues and provision of clothing, household needs, and food as needed is all part of the team’s holistic care.
